A brief description of the Diverse Residential Sections of Manhattan Beach are:
The Sand Section: This section is the areas that are along the beach and sand, and includes the large ‘Strand’ homes that are situated along the beach. These homes are the most expensive and most highly desired properties in the city. This section also includes the area that was formerly known as ‘El Porto’, which is now called the North Manhattan Section. It also has within it, the section that has the ‘walk street’ homes, which is the 4-5 blocks of east to west small streets located just east of the large beachfront homes.
The East Manhattan Section: This includes any of the homes east of Sepulveda Blvd. and includes the Manhattan Village gated community of townhomes and estate homes and the original homes built in the Liberty Village and Manhattan Heights sections that run along Aviation Blvd.
The Hill Section: These are the large single family homes that sit in the hills overlooking the city with some having ocean views. They are the 2nd most expensive properties in Manhattan Beach and the real estate here is highly sought after.
The Tree Section: These homes are smaller and are built on smaller lots and are mostly older single family homes and cottages built on quiet streets in a beautiful family type area.
