The different neighborhoods or sections in Manhattan Beach range from beachfront real estate to hilly real estate, quaint valley’s to a private gated community of luxury townhomes and estate homes, to beachside cottages and bungalows, with little yard makeup and maintenance. Yes, here there is a selection like nowhere else. For example: in the Strand Section, which runs the full length of the beach and contains the largest and most expensive properties in the city, are homes up to 3 stories high, with waterfront views of the bay and Catalina Island. Just behind the ‘Strand Homes’ are what’s called the ‘walk street’ homes. Inland up on the hill overlooking the city is what is known as the Hill Section where you will find the 2nd most expensive properties in the city and large single family homes on big lots on winding streets. In the Tree Section, there are older more family oriented types of homes and bungalows, situated on tree lined streets. The only gated community of Manhattan Village is located in the East Manhattan Section, where you will find luxurious townhomes/patio and court homes, and estate type homes in an exclusive private community with its own pools, parks, soccer field, and golfing available. Also in the East Section are the two original sections of homes built right after World War II, The Liberty Village and Manhattan Heights Sections with tract like large single family homes on very large lots with nice size yards and locations.
